Jim is responsible for portfolio management and investment research within Washington Trust Wealth Management. He also spearheads new business initiatives and provides operational oversight to the division and is also a voting member of the Equity Committee of Washington Trust Advisors.
Jim has more than 30 years of experience in the wealth management and banking industries. Jim held various positions in the Trust Department and Corporate Finance divisions of Chase Manhattan Bank of Connecticut and its predecessor Citytrust Bancorp. He served as Chairman at the financial advisory firm Halsey Associates prior to the firm’s acquisition by Washington Trust in 2015.
Jim is a CFA® charter holder and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut.
A Connecticut resident, Jim is actively involved in the communities that Washington Trust serves. Jim is a director and past Board Chairman of the Easter Seal Rehabilitation Center of Greater Waterbury and a director and treasurer at Acts 4 Ministry. He has also held various leadership roles and been an active volunteer with both his church and Access Rehab Centers.
