Joe is responsible for serving and advising a national client base on their wealth management and banking needs and serves a Team Leader in the C&I Commercial Banking division, as well as Team Leader of the Bank’s Private Clients Group. Joe and his team serve a wide array of clients ranging from families managing wealth across several generations, to business owners, entrepreneurs and other creators of first-generation wealth. The team leverages wealth management, commercial banking, and residential lending to build value and achieve financial planning goals for each individual client, their families, their businesses, and their not-for-profit organizations.
Joe has more than 25 years of experience with local, national, and global financial institutions. He has served in management roles in the mutual fund industry, precious metal consignment lending, credit and client management roles for middle-market companies, institutions and high-net-worth individuals. Prior to joining Washington Trust, various roles were held at Fleet Precious Metals, the Fleet Private Bank, the Boston Company and State Street Bank.
Joe holds his MBA from Providence College and bachelor's degree from the University of Rhode Island. He is also an alumnus of Leadership Rhode Island.
A Rhode Island resident, Joe is an active member of his community. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the State of RI’s Industrial Facilities Corporation, on the Advisory Council for the College of Business at URI, and on the Board of Directors of the Boy Scouts of America, Narragansett Council Chapter. Joe is also a coach for local youth sports and is past President of the University of Rhode Island Alumni Association.
